The 19th Annual Arsht Gala

What a treat it was to enjoy the 19th Annual Arsht Gala…especially with my mom! The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts has become such a leading art institution for Miami-Dade County. We often take for granted the workings of such organizations, but THEY EXIST TO SHARE AND INSPIRE CULTURAL EXCHANGE…purely to enjoy, decipher, and move our world forward, together. It is NOT an easy feat to keep such a multi-million dollar machine running. It takes many donors and great leadership.  I’ve been honored to perform at this PAC over 5 times, including during its inaugural season in 2006 and the 11th Gala with such greats as Vanessa Williams; #ChitaRivera; Gloria Estefan; Rita Moreno; and more!

This year’s theme was “The 80s” and mom was killing it in her silver pants. I thought my cut out fishnet gloves were cool- but I suppose they looked like casts for broken wrists   Shout out to my table mates: Robert Battle; @Kathyrn.Garcia.754 and the amazing philanthropists Trish Bell and #DanBell.
