The non-profit music organization San Jose Jazz, which is responsible for 30 years of the San Jose Jazz Festival, launched its “Live from Home” livestream concert series in June 2020. On July 16, Nicole performed songs from her seven-CD repertoire plus a few surprises, including a Nina Simone Civil Rights Movement anthem “I Wish I Knew How It Feels to Be Free,” a Bill Withers fave and a 1991 Mariah Carey tune, “Vanishing.”
This bi-monthly series also serves as a fundraising opportunity for San Jose Jazz (SJZ) to help support the music education programs that continue to serve children virtually in the San Jose, California area.
